Oral cultures vary significantly. Demographic data and 30 questions help us to assess the level of orality within unreached people groups worldwide.

By processing the responses to the orality survey, we generate an Orality Quotient (OQ) for each group, accompanied by a comprehensive report.

Utilizing the OQ, we provide targeted recommendations to enhance the communication of the Good News, resulting in more impactful outreach efforts.

Purpose

To bridge communication gaps for cross-cultural workers among oral-preference people—especially the unreached—through data-driven research and orality resources.

Goal

To equip churches and missionaries with essential tools and insights for communication with greater impact among oral-preference communities without access to the Good News.

Significance

GOMAP is the first tool to quantify orality reliance, offering a data-driven approach based on research that assesses orality and provides recommendations for impactful communication strategies.

GOMAP is a collaborative project of the Institutes for Orality Strategies (I-OS)
